Learning Outcome 1: To understand electromagnetic theory concepts through problem-solving in wave propagation in open media, with the aim of classifying behavior based on various parameters and characteristics that affect propagation. Learning Outcome 2: To apply the principles of reflection, refraction, and Snell's Law to analyze and predict the behavior of electromagnetic waves in confined media and various environments. Learning Outcome 3: To evaluate the propagation of electromagnetic waves in guided media by calculating electrical and propagation parameters, using mathematical models and the Smith chart. The activity consists of: Elaborate a poster that identifies a social problem and proposes a solution based on technologies applying the principles of waves and electromagnetism. The following materials and resources are required for the development of this activity: • Huang, X., Wang, Y., Wang, Y., Li, C., Zhang, J., & Li, S. (2025). IEEE. https://ieeexplore-ieeeorg.bibliotecavirtual.unad.edu.co/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arn umber=10435347 To develop this activity, follow these steps: Step 1: Review the academic resources related in this guide. Step 2: Download Appendix 5 (Poster Template) available in the Learning Guide - Phase 5 – Wave and Electromagnetic Tech Solutions. This annex is a poster template for an international event, which you must complete following the instructions described therein. Step 4: Elaborate a poster that clearly identifies a social or environmental problem and presents a proposed solution using technologies that apply the principles of waves and electromagnetism. Step 5: In the 3 days before the closing of the activity, submit their final work in PDF format in the Evaluation Environment. Note: Make sure the poster is visually clear, well-organized, and accurately applies the principles of waves and electromagnetism to address the problem effectively. 3. Guidelines for the Development and Submission of Learning Evidence Learning evidence refers to the actions, products, or observable processes that are done or delivered to demonstrate acquired capabilities, skills, aptitudes, and attitudes. These serve to allow the teacher to assess and evaluate student performance effectively. The evidence to be developed individually are: a PDF document with the name 'Task – 5_name_surname', with the following contents: • Fully completed poster template. • At least 5 references (use IEEE format). The evidence to be developed collaboratively are: No collaborative evidence is required in this activity. For developing and submitting evidence, please consider the following guidelines: • Before submitting the requested product, the group should check that it complies with all the requirements indicated in this activity guide. Please note that all individual or group written products must comply with “spelling and mechanics” standards and the submission conditions defined in this activity guide. Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must comply with the standards of IEEE. In any case, comply with the referencing standards and avoid academic plagiarism. To do so, you can support yourself by reviewing your written products using the Turnitin tool available in the virtual campus.
